GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Students at Weaver Academy hope a 'tiny' project will someday help a bigger cause.

Tom Bater and his students are currently building a 'tiny' house as part of a shop class project. The project was funded by Guilford County Schools. Once construction is complete, the house will be auctioned off and the money will go back into the school system.

Tom says because the project is funded by taxpayer money, it cannot be donated or given to charity. But he says eventually, he and his students would like to see their tiny homes help those in need in the community.
